INTERACTION DESIGNER
ORACLE HEALTH SCIENCES // 2013
I worked at the intersection of design strategy and interaction design for over 50 products and services spanning clinical R&D to care delivery and created engaging and delightful experiences that provided meaning to products in Oracle's Healthcare & Life Sciences division.
HUMAN-CENTERED DESIGN
My gradaute program was grounded in design thinking which I now utilize with our clients to re-frame problems, imagine new possibilities for the future and to rally together stakeholders.
INTERNATIONAL LENS
My international project experience has given me a unique lens and an ability to fit problems into context. I have travelled to over 23 countries since 2008.
STORYTELLING
I use visual storytelling to connect people with ideas, at a human level. I am a self-made communications designer and fluent in the Adobe Creative Suite and Axure
ENGINEERING
I have an engineering background grounded in mechanical design with strong analytical skills. I have experience with CAD, Arduino, and rapid prototyping.

As a contract designer for the summer while in graduate school, I taught the human-centered design process and methods to undergraduate engineers interning for Intel’s Ultimate Engineering Experience.

U.S. National Winner for the design of myWater, a product I created which delivers real-time feedback about household water consumption.
KELLOGG INNOVATION NETWORK GLOBAL PRIZE
KELLOGG SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT // 2012
Our interdisciplinary team attracted over $16K to advance our non-profit venture of mobile pediatric technology in Uganda as finalists for KIN Prize 2012. (Kellogg's $100,000 Action Plan Competition)
ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN
U.S. DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR // 2009
While completing my civil engineering degree, I worked for the U.S. Government performing design cost estimation associated with the Real Property Asset Inventory for the National Wildlife Refuge System valued at just under $3 Billion.
PLANT GENETICS RESEARCHER
MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF AGRONOMY & PLANT GENETICS // 2006 - 2011
While completing my Bachelors Degree I worked year-round at a transgenic plant laboratory assisting in research and gene mapping of barley and wheat populations - RNA/DNA extraction, PCR Animation, tissue cultures, fieldwork.
